Sapa & Relictoa
SAPA:
Sapa, a mountainous location in northern Vietnam, is well-known for its breathtaking terraced landscapes and complex cultural tapestry. While Sapa is best known for rice production, the region also produces a variety of spices and herbs. Terraced fields are a distinguishing characteristic, reaching across the slopes in tiered, curved designs. This stackable spice rack is inspired by the striking terraced landscapes of Sapa, Vietnam, that is known for its abundant spice and rice farming. The rack embodies the essence of the overlapping rice terraces, making it a practical and aesthetically pleasing addition to any kitchen. The design inspires a sense of harmony and balance, reminiscent of Sapa's agricultural traditions, with gentle curves and a flowing patterns, which emphasize careful cultivation and attention to detail.
RELICTOA:
The "Relictoa" design concept is inspired by the ginkgo biloba leaf's unique shape and structure. The ginkgo biloba leaf, with its fan-like structure, peculiar vein patterns, and ancient history, represents both natural beauty and resilience. This biomimicry-inspired design strives to reflect the elegance and organic feel of the ginkgo leaf while also serving as a sleek and inventive toilet roll holder and towel stand. The name "Relictoa" is a combination of the words "relict," which relates to a surviving element from the past, and "biloba," which refers to the iconic ginkgo biloba leaf, which has remained largely unaltered for millions of years. The name reflects the design's natural influence, with sleek lines and concealed features reminiscent of the ginkgo leaf's delicate curves. By combining these two ideas, Relictoa offers a harmonious mix of timeless natural beauty and modern creativity, resulting in a toilet roll holder and towel stand that feels elegant while still being anchored in the enduring elegance of nature.
