Pandemonium
CONCEPT:
Pandemonium is a museum space dedicated to honor the classic rock music of the 80's and 90's. Pandemonium meaning ‘wild uproar’ captures the essence of the space, whose design draws inspiration from the chaos and energy of tornados similar to the high-energy, transformative and free-flowing nature of the music genre.
The space in its entirety uses scrap metals as a base for its interior structure and design. The ruggedness and faded appearance of the metals used to make the large sweeping spiraling structures throughout the space keep true to the industrial aesthetic of the building. The organic metal structures flowing through the space contrast the sharp nature of the metals themselves as well as the energy and rawness of the music.

SUSTAINABILITY:
The scrap metals used within the space are obtained from the surrounding factories and industrial businesses that produce metal waste making Berlin, Germany an ideal location. Repurposing the waste metals contributes to sustainable practices and takes inspiration from the saying “Even trash can be recycled into something beautiful.” The flowing metal structures extend from the entrance of the space and span the length of the building, keeping it spacious, airy and undivided. The exhibits within the space are made to be a part of its interior structure making the entire space seem whole. The design's color palette is intentionally monochrome, allowing visitors to bring color into the space through their attire, symbolizing the individuality and personal expression imbued in rock music.

ETHEREA: Retail space within 'Pandemonium'
Etherea is a space that retails handcrafted glass sculptures, jewelry, and recycled-material musical instruments that play with the touch of nature, in a space that embraces innovation and sustainability. The store features two live workshops where visitors can watch waste materials transform into art: a glassblowing studio and a workshop for crafting instruments that mimic the sounds of nature. As Pandemonium harnesses the raw power of classic rock to convey energy and freedom; the minimalist, monochrome interior of Etherea highlights eco-conscious design, The simplicity of the space allows the vibrant energy of the recycled creations to shine, with customers adding their own unique "color" to the experience through the items they choose to craft or purchase. Much like Pandemonium itself, the space in its entirety uses scrap metals as a base for its interior structure and design.
